COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING
August 11, 2026
The Port of Seattle Commission met in a special meeting per RCW 42.30.080 on August 11, 2026.
The meeting was held at the Port of Seattle Headquarters Building Commission Chambers located
at Pier 69, 2711 Alaskan Way, Seattle, Washington. Commissioner Calkins was excused from
attendance.
I. CALL to ORDER
The meeting was convened at 3:00 p.m. by Commission Vice-President Felleman for the purpose of
hearing public comments regarding the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Sustainable Airport
Master Plan (SAMP) Near-Term Projects (NTP) Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).
II. ITEMS OF BUSINESS
A court reporter was in attendance to capture SEPA comments entered for the record.
The following people provided comment: City of Burien Mayor Sarah Moore; Brian Davis, Burien
Airport Committee; Mike Cooke; Sandy Hunt, Defenders of Highline Forest; Colin Lay; Ali Lee; and
JC Harris, Sea-Tac Noise.Info.
Commissioner Mohamed and members of staff discussed the Port’s public outreach efforts
conducted to collect SEPA comments from the community regarding the SAMP NTP DEIS.
Having no one else presently signed up to speak, the Commission stood in recess pending any
additional public comment until 4:00 p.m..
