Action Requested
• Advertise, award, and execute a major works construction contract for the project
• Execute related project change orders, amendments, work authorizations,
purchases, contracts, and take other actions necessary to support and deliver the
project within the approved budget
• Authorization the use of Port of Seattle Crews and small works contracts to support
construction activities
• Authorize $11,056,000 for a total project cost not to exceed 14,656,000

Project Overview

The project replaces old heating
system components in SEA's Central
Mechanical Plant (CMP) that supply
space heating and domestic hot water
throughout concourse areas.

• Install deaerator (DA) tank, steam
condensate tank, blowdown flash
tank
• Install new feedwater and
condensate pumps with energyefficient variable frequency drives
• Remove Boiler Room air handling
unit and three old air compressor
systems
