Project Purpose and Scope
Purpose:
To bring the STS dry fire standpipe systems up to operational pressure standards per NFPA
25 code in all three STS train tunnels; South, North, and Shuttle.
Project Scope:

• Inspect pipe and fittings for excessive corrosion
and pinholes
• Replace any identified deficiencies including:
– existing couplings
– hose valves
– check valves
