ACTION REQUESTED
Request Commission authorization for the Executive Director to increase the Capital
Improvements project budget for the Building 161G AV Facility Upgrade project by $250,000 for
a revised total budget of $4,022,000.
SUMMARY
The Bldg. 161G Aviation Maintenance Facility Upgrade project has completed physical
construction and is in the process of closeout. This project installed new heating, ventilation, and
air conditioning (HVAC) systems to service the breakrooms and office spaces and upgraded the
wireless communication infrastructure. This request for additional funds is for a late-term claim
that was submitted by the contractor. The claim is for unforeseen conditions including temporary
trailer placement and abatement work that was required to complete the upgrades. The
additional funds will be applied to final negotiated amount of claim and Port overhead. This
project is seeking additional funds to cover and settle claim and completely close-out the project,
no additional work is associated with this request.
