• 2020: Port created the Duwamish Valley Green Jobs
Program in partnership with Dirt Corps and coalition:
• Programming for youth and adult participants
• Built workforce capacity
• Community empowerment
• Grew awareness and skills in environment
and habitat stewardship
Participants gained entry level skills in
ecological restoration and green
infrastructure.

• 44 youth
• 43 adults

• Summer Youth Program: 92% BIPOC
• Fall Adult Program: 72% BIPOC
Total Contract Spend: $729,316
Outcomes

Goal: Increase the number of Duwamish
Valley residents who have living-wage
employment by linking job seekers to existing
green job training programs and careers in
construction, aviation and maritime.
The Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
and External Relations each contribute
$80,000/year for the next three years (2025-
2028). Total contract value: $480,000.
