A RESOLUTION of the Port of Seattle Commission authorizing the 7
Executive Director to sell and convey port personal 8
property in 2025 in accordance with RCW 9
53.08.090 with a value not greater than $22,830 and 10
repealing Resolution No. 3816, dealing with the 11
same subject. 12

WHEREAS, the voters of King County, pursuant to the provisions of enabling 14
legislation adopted by the legislature of the State of Washington, Chapter 92, Laws of 1911, 15
RCW 53.040.010, authorized and approved at a special election held in King County on the 5
th

day of September 1911, the formation of a port district co-extensive with King County to be 17
known as the Port of Seattle; and 18
WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle was thereupon established as a port district and has since 19
been and now is a duly authorized and acting port district of the State of Washington; and 20
WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle owns personal property and, from time to time, may sell 21
or convey such property pursuant to RCW 53.08.090 and RCW 39.33. 22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Port Commission of the Port of 23
Seattle as follows: 24
Section 1. The Port Commission of the Port of Seattle hereby delegates to the Executive 25
Director of the Port of Seattle the authority to sell and convey port personal property of a value 26
established annually by resolution. 27

Section 2. The value of Port personal property that may be sold and conveyed by the 29
Executive Director in 2025, in accordance with Section 1, shall be $22,830.00 or less, per 30
occurrence. 31
Section 3. Pursuant to RCW 53.08.090, the port commission may annually renew the 32
Executive Director’s authority under this resolution and adjust the property value limit under 33
Section 2 based on the consumer price index established by the Washington State Department of 34
Revenue. 35
Section 4. Resolution No. 3816, dealing with the same subject, is hereby repealed. 36
ADOPTED by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle, at a duly noticed meeting held 37
this 14th day of January, 2025, and duly authenticated in open session by the signatures of the 38
Commissioners voting in favor thereof and the seal of the Commission. 39
