SUBJECT: Maritime Habitat Program Briefing
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The briefing will provide an overview of the Maritime Habitat and Natural Resources program.
The current areas of work include habitat restoration in support of the Port’s Century Agenda
goal; sustainable shorelines that focus on pilot projects and research partnerships, as well as
smaller restoration sites; and habitat stewardship and community engagement. The briefing will
provide information on current initiatives and future opportunities in each area of work.
ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND
This briefing is being provided in response to a request from the Commission for an update on
programs and initiatives in the Maritime Habitat Program.
