2025 Airfield Projects - Contract 1
• Request Commission authorization for the ED to
– Advertise and execute a construction contract for 2025 Airfield Projects -
Contract 1;
– Transfer budget/authorization among the 2025 Airfield Projects;
– Transfer budget/authorization for South Concourse utility replacement scope
from CIP C800930 2021-2025 Airfield Pavement and Supporting Infrastructure to
CIP 801203 South Concourse Evolution;
– Procure long lead items;
– Include a Project Labor Agreement for the construction contract;
– Authorize use of Port crews for abatement work.
• The amount of this authorization request: $20,850,000

This construction contract comprises of three Capital Improvement Projects
(CIP) with overlapping work areas and design functionality, interdependent
operational impacts, and share project schedule milestones.
• 2025 Airfield Pavement and Supporting Infrastructure Replacement (C800930)
• 2025 Airfield Utility Improvements (C801177)
• Taxiway A Recircuiting (C801303) - obtained full Commission authorization in
March 2024 for design and construction

25 Airfield Pavement and Supporting
Infrastructure Replacement Program (CIP C800930)
• Purpose
– Replaces distressed airfield pavement, joint
sealant, related and supporting infrastructure at
the Airport to provide safe and efficient conditions
for aircraft operations and meet FAA requirements.
• 2025 scope
– Pavement and drainage work at Taxiway A, Spot
55, Aprons at Concourse C, and rapid set panels
along the South Concourse Taxilane
– Joint Seal Replacement at Taxiways E, G, C, and D
– Oil Water Separator at Batch Plant area

Airfield Utility Improvements (CIP C801177)
• Purpose
– Ongoing program to replace aging, failing, and
over-capacity utility systems serving the existing
terminal and apron areas
•
2025 Scope
– Sanitary sewer, power, communications, and
industrial wastewater system located on the
airside of Concourse C
– Sanitary Sewer along the north side of the South
Concourse
