This request would allow AV Fleet move forward with procurement of small capital
purchases.
Request is made up of tool, equipment, and vehicles to support AVM, PD, OPS,
and Fire

• $920K for Corporate 2024 fleet small capital (Police)
• $2.173M for AV 2024 fleet small capital

evaluate different use cases and needs.

shops. AVM has been an early adopter.

AOS group to displace the large gasoline fuel
consuming vehicles in the fleet.

All new equipment being procured will be more efficient, using less gasoline or diesel compared to the current
vehicles being replaced. This will be achieved through the following strategies:
•Hybrids
•Right-sizing
This request will also allow the transition of 10 gasoline-powered fleet vehicles to become electric vehicles
(EVs). This change is expected to save 6,157 gallons of gasoline annually and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2)
emissions by 54.7 metric tons per year.
Additionally, this request includes replacing 9 pieces of obsolete EV fleet equipment with new electric Fleet
equipment, including forklifts, scooters, and scissor lifts.
Next Steps
Procurement of approved items
• Set up project 1 month after commission
• Submit procurements as equipment opportunities exist for next 1 year
• Inservice vehicles in 6 to 18 months from PO issuance
