COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 28, 2023
The Port of Seattle Commission met in a special meeting Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The meeting
was held at the Muckleshoot Community Center, located at: 17432 SE 392

Street, Auburn,
Washington. Commissioners Calkins, Felleman, and Hasegawa were present. Commissioners Cho
and Mohamed were absent and excused from the meeting.
CALL to ORDER
Pursuant to RCW 42.30 and Article IV, Section 8, of the commission bylaws, the meeting convened
at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of holding a government to government meeting with the Muckleshoot
Tribe.
ITEMS OF BUSINESS
Members of the Commission and the Muckleshoot Tribal Council held a Memorandum of Agreement
signing ceremony and received updates from the Muckleshoot regarding the ‘Canoe Journey’ and a
cultural center on the waterfront. Economic development and workforce development opportunities
were also discussed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 12:00 p.m.
