• Guard services available 24/7, 365 days per

year since 1999

Purpose of Request

• Contract term expiration

• Request authorization to re-procure guard

services for NEPL

• Increased expenditures largely related to

wage adjustments

• Seek total authorization for $1.3M with a 5-

year term (guaranteed first year, with four 1-

year options)

• Guard services provide vital site security

and safety services to employee parking

customers

Recommendation

Contract for NEPL guard services to maintain expected and vital service

levels, minimize financial risk to the Port and continue a successful WMBE

opportunity for local firms.
