Risk Probability Impact Mitigation
Supply Chain: Geopolitical instability impacting
global supply chain. Availability of some
construction materials have added significant
time to construction schedules.
Identify and accelerate design of long lead items (steel,
vertical circulation, and curtain wall).
Inflation/Escalation: Price instability.
Inflation/escalation make it difficult to estimate
future costs.
Early work packages allow the project to lock in pricing
from contractor. Port to perform detailed vetting of
progress estimates and GMP packages.
Complex Phasing: The C Concourse Expansion is
at the intersection of two concourses and next
to an active bagwell access ramp. Phasing issues
could impact the project schedule and budget
due to re-phasing and contractor change orders.
Project team brought on a General Contractor /
Construction Manager (GCCM) and they are working on
phasing plans that can be incorporated into the design
and can be reviewed with stakeholders prior to the start
of construction.
