Port of Seattle Commission Staff --
Please confirm that this comment has been received and will be circulated to and considered
by the Commissioners before any vote. I would also appreciate it if you would summarize
my comment as follows:
"Seattle's most recent GHG emission inventory shows that, in 2018, emissions from the
burning of fuel pumped at Sea-Tac caused over 43% of Seattle's contribution to climate
warming. The Port must stop pretending that it is not responsible for these emissions
and stop any plans that would increase capacity at Sea-Tac and thereby increase these
emissions."

Dear Port of Seattle Commissioners,
The city of Seattle recently released its 2018 GHG emission inventory. That inventory
showed a 40% increase in emissions from the burning of fuel pumped at Sea-Tac since 2008.
It also showed that, considering the non-CO2 impacts of aviation emissions--emissions from
the burning of fuel pumped at Sea-Tac make up 43.7% of Seattle's contribution to the
climate crisis.
You must stop pretending these emissions don't exist, or that you are not responsible for
them. You must stop any plans that would further increase these emissions, including the
dishonestly-named "Sustainable Airport Master Plan."
Thank you,
Tyrell Hedlund
