COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 4, 2019
The Port of Seattle Commission held a special meeting, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, as a commission
study session. The study session was held at the Conference Center at Seattle-Tacoma
International Airport, SeaTac, Washington. Commissioners Bowman, Calkins, Felleman, Gregoire,
and Steinbrueck were present.
The meeting convened at 2:35 p.m.
At 1:30 p.m., Deputy Commission Clerk Amy Dressler called the meeting to order and immediately
adjourned it to 2:30 p.m. in the same location. Commission President Stephanie Bowman called
the adjourned meeting to order at 2:35 p.m.

Executive Director port-wide goals for 2020
2020 budget synchronization with goals
Executive Director guidance to divisions on budget setting
Off-setting new spending with savings
Reduction of underspending patterns
Funding sources for commission-driven priorities

Community pressures affecting the budget
Potential transit development impacts on industrial land uses
Capital mega-projects affecting the budget
Climate change impacts to the budget
Staffing vacancies and development of new talent
Communicating the port budget in a way that is relevant to the community
The meeting adjourned at approximately 5:30 p.m.
