What is a DMARC?
A DMARC is short for “Demarcation” and creates a place
within a tenant’s leased space to connect their
communications equipment to the Port’s fiber optic
network
This DMARC connection allows a tenant to ultimately gain
access to Internet and communications service providers
3
Tenant DMARCs are a landlord/tenant communication technology best practice
Why Do We Need DMARCs
A large portion of Sea-Tac’s existing tenant
communications infrastructure is obsolete and outdated
DMARCs facilitate a tenant’s connection to modern high-
speed fiber optic network cabling
Will facilitate a tenant’s flexibility to adjust their telephone,
Internet, and data services to better meet business needs
Allows quicker activation of communication service as
tenants move in
4
Many existing Sea-Tac tenants are still on old copper wiring and outdated cabling

Port DMARC
Tenant DMARCs are needed to replace outdated infrastructure across the Airport
Existing vs. Future Condition (Typical)
Outdated communications infrastructure compared to the Port’s DMARC standard
