Item No: 7a, attach 2 Meeting Date April 10, 2018 Notice of Near-port Community Capacity Building Pilot Project Extension January 30, 2018 Capacity building involves actions by all of the organizations participating in project efforts to improve conditions and address impediments to effective functioning. While our planning incorporates flexibility to provide space for full expression of issues in context and engagement among stakeholders for collaborative development of solutions, unanticipated adjustments are sometimes needed to be responsive to dynamic situations and emerging issues. Accordingly, in order to be responsive to our project partners' concerns and to facilitate durable outcomes, we are extending the timetable for delivery of technical assistance to pilot projects until September 30, 2018. This is certainly not a signal to slow down our activities, but rather additional notification that we are now planning for our pilot project implementation activities to wrap up by the end of September instead of June. Please continue planning and implementation activities at an expeditious pace. Thank you.
