NOTICE
SEATTLE -- The Port of Seattle Century Agenda Committee will
convene a Special Meeting from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
October 11, 2011, at Port of Seattle Headquarters, Commission
Chambers, Pier 69, 2711 Alaskan Way, Seattle, Washington. The
meeting will be audio and video recorded to be accessible during or
after the meeting.
The meeting will feature a roundtable discussion on “Putting our Real
Estate to Work.” Our panelists will engage in a robust discussion on the
Port’s strategic use of real estate assets. The overarching Century
Agenda goal is to add 100,000 jobs to the regional economy, so an
important consideration the Port must face is how best we can deploy
our Real Estate assets to support our strategic goals.
This roundtable is part of the final stage of the Port’s three-year
strategic planning process called the Century Agenda. This stage will
establish long-range strategic goals for the next quarter-century. As the
year progresses, the Committee is hosting regular roundtables with
experts to publicly discuss the big questions that drive the Port’s
direction in pursuit of its mission of economic development – generating
jobs, minimizing our environmental footprint, anchoring urban industrial
lands, and wisely stewarding the public’s tax dollars.
