NOTICE
SEATTLE -- The Port of Seattle Century Agenda Committee will
convene a Special Meeting from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
June 14, 2011, at Port of Seattle Headquarters, Commission
Chambers, Pier 69, 2711 Alaskan Way, Seattle, Washington. The
meeting will be audio and video recorded to be accessible during or
after the meeting.
The meeting will feature a roundtable discussion on “Moving People:
Airport, Cruise Ships, and Tourism.” Our panelists will engage in a
robust discussion of how the Port of Seattle will act as a hub to an ever-
growing population of airline and cruise passengers and tourists that
move through our region every day.
This roundtable is part of the final stage of the Port’s three-year
strategic planning process called the Century Agenda. This stage will
establish long-range strategic goals for the next quarter-century. As the
year progresses, the Committee will be hosting regular roundtables with
experts to publicly discuss the big questions that drive the Port’s
direction in pursuit of its mission of economic development – generating
jobs, minimizing our environmental footprint, anchoring urban industrial
lands, and wisely stewarding the public’s tax dollars.
